Vik Muniz

Vik Muniz is a visual artist and photographer, who has achieved worldwide recognition as one of the most important Brazilian contemporary artists. His artworks are featured in museum and gallery collections such as Tate Modern (London) and the Museum Of Modern Art (MoMA – New York). Vik directed the Oscar-nominated documentary“Wasteland” and as well as the opening ceremony for the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. He is the founder of Escola Vidigal and collaborates with several non-profit organizations in Brazil. Vik Muniz is a partner director of Spectaculu and has created several projects at the school since 2008.
